When the time comes to move their child into their new home, which for many incoming freshman will be the first time away from home, it brings out a new side of parents. The RA is the first to greet parents and make them enjoy an easy smooth move in process. That is quite hard to do when there is never a guideline on how to deal with parents. Some parents can not wait to let their child go and help the RA’s with moving stuff in, and then there are some that nit pick every item of the new environment and treat the RA’s like packing mules. There is never knowing what kinds of parents move in will bring. The only thing that can be said it so prepare for emotions, sweat from hard work unloading items in the hot sun, and laughter from the randomess that arises.
